We would like to announce that the deadline for the submission of abstracts for the international Roundtable “Resilience and Reconciliation: Democracy in Crisis and Repair across History” has been extended to 7 February 2026. The Roundtable is organized in cooperation with the Danish Institute at Athens, The Finnish Institute at Athens, The Norwegian Institute at Athens and the Swedish Institute at Athens.
This event, which will consist of two sessions, will take place on 29 April 2026 at the Swedish Institute.
Deadline for the submission of abstracts is 7 February 2026. Further details of the Call for Participation can be found here, whereas a more general text is available here.

This Roundtable is the first of a series of events that the Netherlands Institute at Athens organizes in cooperation with the four Scandinavian Institutes in Athens, the city often addressed as “the Cradle of Democracy”, focusing on the challenges posed to Democracy from a diachronic and interdisciplinary perspective.
