Now Online: 2nd annual lecture of the series ‘Byzantine Talks NIA’ by Dr. Marios Tantalos (University of Athens)

Τhe 2nd annual lecture of the series ‘Byzantine Talks NIA’ is now available on the YouTube-channel of our Institute.

NIA Librarian, Ms. Sotiria Nikolou opened the event with a brief welcome. In her short introduction, Ms. Nikolou referred -among other things- to the goal of the establishment of this series, which has as a main priority to honor the memory of the late Professor Spyros Troianos, who donated a substantial part of his book collection to the NIA. On this year’s event, Dr. Marios Tantalos (University of Athens) delivered the lecture “From East to West and backwards: The editorial adventures of the Hexabiblos (1344/1345)“.

The lecture, which took place on May 7th, was a collaboration between the Netherlands Institute at Athens and the Department of Legal History of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. We are very pleased to share the online registration of the event with you, which also includes the Q&A session.
