The Netherlands Institute at Athens is pleased to invite you to a special book presentation of

A Companion to Byzantine Law: From the Foundation of Constantinople (330) until the End of the Macedonian Dynasty (1056), Brill 2025 by the editors Eleftheria Papagianni (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) & Daphne Penna (University of Groningen, KU Leuven)

Byzantine Law. The Roman Law of the Eastern Roman Empire, Cambridge University Press 2026 by the author Daphne Penna (University of Groningen, KU Leuven).

The event will be moderated by the NIA-Librarian, Ms. Sotiria Nikolou.

The double book presentation -which is part of the NIA-Library’s activities- will be held on Tuesday 5^th May 2026, at 18.00, at the Netherlands Institute at Athens, 11, Makri str., 117 42 Athens.
