We are very happy to inform you that on January 16th, 2026 our NIA Librarian Ms. Sotiria Nikolou was invited once again on the radio broadcast “Libraries on FM” by the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists (AGLIS), in which she presented The Netherlands Institute at Athens and its’ Library.

It was a nice conversation between Sotiria and Ms. Myrto Gkiouli, Member of AGLIS- Librarian of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and Ms. Effie Zoumpouli, NKUA Librarian. Our Librarian referred to the history of NIA, how it functions, the collaboration with The Dutch Universities and the other foreign archaeological schools and Institutes, its facilities, the lectures and the courses. In addition, she talked about the Library, the development of the library’s collection, the Troianos Collection, the opening hours, the publications of the NIA, and the celebrations on the occasion of the fifty (50) years anniversary of the Institute’s operation.

The Netherlands Institute at Athens wishes to warmly thank the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists, the Municipal Library of Irakleio, Attikis and the Radio Station “Επικοινωνία 94FM” for their hospitality.
