The Netherlands Institute at Athens is very pleased to announce the new annual series of lectures entitled ‘Byzantine Talks NIA’ dedicated to the memory of Professor Spyros Troianos.

The first lecture of this series on: ‘Byzantine law and the European legal tradition’ by Dr. Daphne Penna, Assistant Professor, University of Groningen, will be held on May 22nd 2024, at 17.00, at the Netherlands Institute at Athens.

The lecture is a collaboration between the Netherlands Institute at Athens and the Research Centre for the History of Greek Law of the Academy of Athens.
