Together with a kind reminder for the joint event  “RESILIENCE and RECONCILIATION: Democracy in Crisis and Repair across History“, we herewith share the abstracts of the contributions to the three Round Tables that make up the program of this international interdisciplinary meeting on the 28th and 29th of April, which is organized in cooperation with the Nordic Institutes at Athens.

This event is the first of a series under the common title “Democracy under Pressure” an initiative of the Netherlands Institute at Athens, in cooperation with the Danish Institute at Athens, the Finnish institute at Athens, the Norwegian Institute at Athens and the Swedish Institute at Athens. Against the background of the ongoing and increasing discussions about the functioning, the meaning and significance of Democracy, through this joint initiative the beforementioned Institutes want to offer a platform for substantial international academic debate in Athens, the city generally regarded as the “Cradle of Democracy”.
